Meet Tim Patrick, the visionary CEO of Ventis Pharma, whose remarkable track record encompasses building and successfully exiting two thriving pharmaceutical startups. With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Patrick's expertise and astute leadership have propelled him as one of the true experts in the pharmaceutical industry.
In 1991, Mr. Patrick embarked on his entrepreneurial journey with his first startup, where he assumed the crucial role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for an impressive 16-year tenure. Demonstrating his exceptional business acumen, he steered the company towards profitability and growth, leaving an indelible mark on its success. In 2007, Mr. Patrick’s entrepreneurial spirit ignited once again as he founded his second pharmaceutical startup. This time, he took the reins as CEO, driving the company to new heights for a decade before orchestrating a prosperous exit in 2017.
Throughout his tenure, Mr. Patrick’s strategic leadership, coupled with his unwavering commitment to excellence, propelled the company’s achievements and solidified its position as a force to be reckoned with in the industry. With an unparalleled wealth of knowledge and insight gained from 30 years of executive leadership experience, Mr. Patrick possesses an extraordinary understanding of all facets of operations, company economics, strategic planning, product positioning, working with insurance carriers, GPO’s, 340B pharmaceutical programs, hospital systems, federal government contracts, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Mr. Patrick’s profound impact extends beyond successful ventures. He has spearheaded the construction of five state-of-the-art manufacturing and distribution facilities, underscoring his commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Additionally, his visionary approach to sales and marketing strategies has positioned Ventis Pharma as one of his most triumphant ventures to date.

Dr. Jeremy Poulsen
COO
Jeremy is a visionary co-founder and instrumental force behind Ventis Pharma, a distinguished pharmaceutical company dedicated to transforming the landscape of patient care.
As the esteemed Chief Operating Officer (COO) and invaluable Ventis Board of Directors member, Jeremy is driven by an unwavering commitment to improving lives. With a passion for enhancing patient experiences, Jeremy brings his extensive anesthesiology and pain management expertise to the forefront. He holds prestigious board certifications in these fields, cementing his position as a trusted authority.
For over 12 years, Jeremy has played an integral role at the renowned Dune Surgical Hospital. In addition to chairing the anesthesia department, he has served as a key member of the Medical Executive Committee. His specialization lies in regional anesthesia and interventional pain management, where he engages innovative treatment modalities to ensure optimal patient care and comfort.
Jeremy’s influence extends beyond his role at Ventis. He has served as the Chief Medical Officer of Boti Health, a healthcare startup focused on making healthcare more affordable for chronic conditions in America.
Steven Aungst
VP of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Aungst brings 23 years of experience to the team, having working with Mr. Patrick to build sales and marketing divisions for two successful pharmaceutical startups and exits. He has experience in developing product pricing and positioning with commercial insurance carriers, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. He also has expertise in creating campaigns for new product rollouts, building, and training national sales forces, and developing all types of marketing campaigns.
Louis Stanfield, CRNA, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer (CSO)
Dr. Stanfield has 40 years of experience as a Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) and holds a Ph.D. in pharmacology. As Chief Scientific Officer and co-product developer at Ventis Pharma, Dr. Stanfield draws on his broad background in anesthesia care and his specialization in pain management. He is responsible for all of Ventis Pharma’s scientific testing, methodologies, and studies, and works closely with our FDA consultants at the Weinberg Group in Washington DC.
Dr. Lawrence Volz
Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Dr. Volz will act as a key team member in product education and training for physicians and pharmacists for Ventis Products in the US and our international markets. He is board-certified in general surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Volz has over 20 years of experience in his specialty and has served as a hospital board member, trauma director, and Chief Medical Officer for a Midwest Medical Center for the last five years. He has also served as a national speaker to educate surgeons and anesthesia providers.
Bettina Cantrell
President – Ventis Pharma Dental Division
Bettina Cantrell is a strategic commercial leader with more than 20 years of experience driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the dental industry globally. She brings a rare end-to-end perspective to dental healthcare, having worked across clinical operations, practice ownership, consulting, and senior executive leadership within some of the industry’s most respected organizations.
Most recently, as Senior Director of Strategic Accounts for ClearCorrect at Straumann Group in North America, Bettina led significant revenue growth through the Dental Service Organization (DSO) channel, building trusted partnerships with executive leadership teams and key opinion leaders. Her background includes senior leadership roles with Straumann Group (Australia and North America), Bupa Dental Corporation, Henry Schein, 3M, and the University of Newcastle, as well as ownership and management of private dental practices. Known for her collaborative leadership style and data-driven approach, Bettina is passionate about advancing innovative dental solutions, expanding access to care, and supporting private practices and DSOs as they evolve toward more integrated, health-focused models.
James Cantrell
Operations Manager - Dental Division
James "Jamie" Cantrell is a healthcare executive with extensive experience in operations, business development, and organizational growth across the dental, medical device, and healthcare industries. Throughout his career, Jamie has focused on building high-performing teams, developing strategic partnerships, and implementing operational processes that improve efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business performance. His expertise includes market development, contract negotiations, customer engagement, operational analytics, and growth strategy execution.
Jamie has also played a key role in the introduction and adoption of innovative healthcare technologies, working closely with clinical leaders and industry stakeholders to develop evaluation programs, performance reporting systems, and data-driven initiatives that support better outcomes and informed decision-making.
Known for his collaborative leadership style and practical approach to problem-solving, Jamie is passionate about helping organizations leverage innovation, analytics, and operational excellence to achieve sustainable growth.
Dr. Bob Hinkle
Senior Clinical Advisor - Dental Division
Dr. Hinkle is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with 40 years of experience. He will act as a key team member supporting product education and training for dentists and dental specialists. Throughout his career, Dr. Hinkle has been invested in clinical research and the education of fellow dentists, dental specialists and oral and maxillofacial surgery residents. He has authored multiple professional articles and presented nationally and internationally on advanced oral surgery and dental implant techniques. Dr. Hinkle was an early adopter of a narcotic-free, multimodal pain management philosophy to ensure a safe pain-free post-operative experience for his patients.
